Privacy Policy

Aksh Forensics respects the privacy of individuals who interact with this website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information may be collected through the website, why it is used, how it is handled, and the choices available to individuals.

01

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Aksh Forensics website, including the enquiry form, the professional portfolio request form, the careers application form and related website interactions.

It does not govern information exchanged outside the website — for example, material provided directly during a professional engagement, which is handled under the confidentiality arrangements applicable to that matter.

02

Information We May Collect

Aksh Forensics collects only the information a visitor chooses to provide through the website. Depending on the form used, this may include:

  • Name
  • Organisation
  • Professional role
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Location, where requested
  • Service or discipline of interest
  • Description of an enquiry, where provided
  • An indication that a matter is urgent
  • Information submitted with a professional portfolio request
  • Career and application information, including qualifications, experience and areas of professional practice
  • A resume or CV and an optional supporting professional document, where submitted through the Careers workflow
  • Communications submitted through website forms

Basic technical information may also be processed in the ordinary course of website operation, hosting and security — for example request data used to keep forms functioning and to limit automated abuse. Where website analytics are in use, aggregate usage information may be processed for the same operational purpose.

The website does not ask for financial information, identity documents or government identifiers.

03

Evidence and Sensitive Material

The public enquiry form is a first point of contact only. It must not be used to submit:

  • Original evidence or forensic exhibits
  • Confidential case materials
  • Identity documents
  • Privileged legal material
  • Sensitive personal information unrelated to the initial enquiry

Where a matter proceeds, Aksh Forensics will provide instructions for the secure transfer or physical submission of case material under appropriate handling and chain-of-custody arrangements. Please follow those instructions rather than sending material through the website.

04

Why We Use Personal Information

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

  • Respond to enquiries and professional correspondence
  • Assess a requested service and whether the matter can be accepted
  • Communicate with prospective clients and their representatives
  • Review and respond to professional portfolio requests
  • Evaluate career applications and communicate with applicants
  • Maintain internal records of enquiries, requests and applications
  • Administer website functionality, including automated acknowledgement messages
  • Prevent spam, abuse and security incidents
  • Meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements where these apply

Information submitted through the website is not used for unrelated marketing, and the website does not operate a promotional mailing list.

06

Sharing of Information

Aksh Forensics does not publish or publicly disclose personal information submitted through the website, and does not sell personal information.

Information may be handled by technology and service providers engaged to operate the website, its database, secure document storage and transactional email delivery, to the extent necessary to provide those services and subject to appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.

Information may also be disclosed where disclosure is required by law, by a court or by a competent authority.

07

Careers Information

Resumes, supporting documents and the professional information submitted through the Careers workflow are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible and is not indexed or linked from any public page. Documents are retrievable only by authorised Aksh Forensics personnel through an authenticated internal route.

Career applications may be retained for consideration against current requirements and, where appropriate, for future opportunities. Submitting an application does not constitute an assurance of employment or of an interview.

An applicant who wishes their application to be withdrawn or removed from consideration may write to careers@akshforensics.com.

08

Professional Portfolio Requests

Information submitted through the Professional Portfolio Request workflow is used to verify the professional context of the request, to evaluate it and to respond to the requester.

Submitting a request does not mean a portfolio will be released. Requests are reviewed individually, and release is at the discretion of Aksh Forensics having regard to confidentiality obligations.

09

Data Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss or disclosure. These include access-controlled database records, private document storage restricted to authorised personnel, server-side validation of submitted information and controls intended to limit automated abuse.

No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, and Aksh Forensics does not claim absolute security. Please do not send sensitive material through the website.

10

Data Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, for legitimate operational requirements, or as required or permitted by applicable law.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose — for example, a career application considered for future opportunities may be retained longer than a general website enquiry that has been concluded.

11

Rights of Individuals

Subject to applicable data-protection law, individuals may have rights in relation to their personal information, including rights relating to access, correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis of processing, and other rights available under the law applicable to a particular situation.

Requests are considered in accordance with applicable law and with any legal or professional obligations that require information to be retained.

12

Privacy Requests and Concerns

Individuals may contact Aksh Forensics at contact@akshforensics.com regarding privacy-related requests or concerns, including requests to access, correct or delete information submitted through the website, or to withdraw consent.

Please describe the request clearly and, where possible, quote the reference number issued when the enquiry, portfolio request or application was submitted.

13

Children's Information

This website is intended for professional and institutional audiences and is not directed toward children. Aksh Forensics does not knowingly seek personal information from children through the website.

Where it becomes apparent that information relating to a child has been submitted unnecessarily, it will be handled with care and removed where appropriate.

14

Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website, its forms or applicable requirements. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
